Following the basic logic of the refrigeration cycle, heat transfer is achieved through the phase change of the refrigerant. The specific process is as follows:

The screw compressor compresses the low-temperature and low-pressure refrigerant gas into high-temperature and high-pressure gas.

The high-temperature and high-pressure gas enters the water-cooled condenser, where it is cooled by the circulating cooling water and condensed into high-pressure liquid refrigerant.

The high-pressure liquid refrigerant is depressurized by the throttling device and converted into a low-temperature and low-pressure gas-liquid mixture.

The gas-liquid mixture enters the evaporator, absorbs heat from the chilled water and completely evaporates into gas. At the same time, the temperature of the chilled water drops to -5℃, and then the chilled water is delivered to the equipment or process that needs cooling.

The evaporated refrigerant gas returns to the compressor to start the next cycle.

The refrigeration function of the equipment is jointly realized by four core components, each with a clear role.

Screw Compressor: As the core power component, it compresses the refrigerant through screw meshing, increasing the refrigerant's temperature and pressure. It is the key to the equipment's efficient refrigeration.

Water-Cooled Condenser: It removes the heat of the high-temperature and high-pressure refrigerant using circulating cooling water, condensing the refrigerant into a liquid state.

Evaporator: The liquid refrigerant absorbs heat from the chilled water and evaporates here, reducing the temperature of the chilled water to 7℃ and completing the refrigeration process.

Throttling Device: It reduces the pressure of the high-pressure liquid refrigerant after condensation, preparing it for evaporation in the evaporator.

 

A water outlet temperature of 7℃ is suitable for medium-to-low temperature scenarios that require precise cooling temperature control, and is mainly applied in the following industries:

Plastic Industry: Cools injection molding and extrusion molding equipment to ensure product molding quality and production efficiency.

Food Processing Industry: Used in food cooling, refrigeration, quick-freezing and other links to maintain food freshness and safety.

Electronics Industry: Lowers the temperature of servers, semiconductor manufacturing equipment, etc., to prevent equipment overheating from affecting operation.

Chemical Industry: Cools process equipment such as chemical reaction kettles and distillation towers to control the reaction temperature.

High Energy Efficiency

The operating efficiency of the screw compressor is superior to that of the reciprocating (piston) compressor. Combined with the high efficiency of water-cooled heat dissipation, the overall energy consumption is relatively low.

Stable Temperature

It can accurately control the temperature of the chilled water at around 7℃ with a small fluctuation range, meeting the process requirements for temperature precision.

Stable Operation

The screw compressor has fewer components, minimal wear, and a low failure rate, making it suitable for long-term continuous operation.

A2: The core difference lies in the condensation method:

  • Water-cooled models rely on a cooling tower + cooling water circuit for heat dissipation. They feature high heat dissipation efficiency and lower energy consumption, making them suitable for high-power units (usually above 100 RT) and high-temperature environments.
  • Air-cooled models exchange heat directly with air through fans, eliminating the need for a cooling water system. They are easier to install but have slightly higher energy consumption, making them suitable for small-to-medium power applications or water-scarce areas.

Q3: What does "screw-type" refer to, and what are its advantages?

A3: "Screw-type" refers to the structural form of the compressor (which compresses the refrigerant through the meshing of male and female rotors). Compared with reciprocating (piston-type) compressors, it has the following advantages: stable operation, low noise, high coefficient of performance (COP), low failure rate, and a wide range of cooling capacity adjustment (10%-100% stepless adjustment). It is suitable for industrial scenarios requiring long-term continuous operation.
